Effects

The effects of this strain are highly psychoactive, due to a high count of tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV). It produces strong euphoria and gives spacey, happy, and slightly psychedelic sensations after only one or two hits. Some users feel creative and focused. The strong cerebral effects begin to diminish after about an hour, but the residual effects can last another two hours. These effects are coupled with pleasant body numbing sensations. Strong and trippy, this strain induces an insatiable appetite. This mega-strain may result in dry eyes and mouth and lead to paranoia, dizziness, and anxiety when consumed in high doses.

Moby Dick is designed specifically as a strong medical strain. It is excellent for daytime use though patients may feel lazy a few hours after use. The cerebral effects are often used to combat the symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression. Patients that have lost their appetites, whether it's due to chemotherapy or other reasons, often choose this strain. The body high may ease mild aches and pains, but it is not strong enough to combat severe pain.

Growing

The strain has two phenotypes: one with sativa-dominant characteristics that can reach up to twelve feet outdoors, while the other is a smaller, indica-dominant phenotype, that is only seen about 35% of the time.

Moby Dick can be grown indoors or outside and is not recommended for amateur growers. Inside, the strain flowers for around ten weeks and requires an electrical conductivity level between 1.5 and 2 as well as 800 watts per square meter. Growers are also cautioned to keep the pH levels below 6.5 as they can affect yield. Outside, this strain needs little care, and under optimal conditions it may produce exceptionally high yields.

I have missed this strain so much, it's been two years since my last encounter with this white whale. Strong taste of terpinolene, one of my favorite terpenes. I'm liking the cannabinoid content in this, although a small amount it has a variety of them. The effects are a powerhouse, if you have sensitivity to sativas go easy on this or maybe even avoid it all together. I have been impatiently waiting for White Widow to make an appearance but for now this will do just nicely. This strain gets my creative juices flowing along with knocking out any depression I have. It's the perfect strain for me right now, I'm grieving over someone who was very close to me. I didn't want to eat or do anything, but now I feel so much better. I'm still grieving, but it's not as crippling.Moby Dick's curing the sinus headache I got from crying, and that's incredible to me. I usually only get cannabis strains to make migraines/headaches feel a little less painful it doesn't normally cure it without any pain left.

My favorite bud overall. I smoke this and I can go out in public, chat people up, and not feel anxious, and I have generalized anxiety disorder. I use it usually when doing DIY tasks around the house, but especially for creating, recording, and producing music. I feel focused and in the zone. It's upbeat. I find myself smiling lots. I enjoy and recommend Moby Dick.

This is hands down my favorite day time strain. I have not found a strain to actually distunguish itsef as a sativa like this one. Super long flower time, lanky growth, its all in the gene pool. And the smell is something unique to this strain as well. You get intense pine but also this loud, flowery incence-like aroma that sticks with you. I only know how to describe it as loud, seriously. I think this might be the highest THV stain there is, but don’t quote me, and the active effects show; there’s a quick onset that is almost caffeine like in stimulation, and it doesn’t taper off until hours later. This would be great for writing if you could sit still or exercise, not sure if I could focus much for studying or memmorizing with it, much more creative centers going on and a need to move. It’s actually like the opposite of typical weed until eventually, hours later, good ol’ THC and CBN do their thing and you eventually get sleepy. Honestly, kind of saves the need to smoke again and in all is my favorite strain to use after school or work to hit the gym, hike, etc.
