About Fifth Element

Fifth Element (also sometimes written as 5th Element) is an indica-dominant hybrid with luxuriously sedative effects. Created by Elemental Seeds, who are also the breeders of Mango Tango, Fifth Element is a combination of Blackberry and All Spark OG. These parent strains yield a smooth and flavorful smoke that pays dividends with continuous physical relaxation. This hybrid’s THC content has been measured at between 15% and 22%.

Fifth Element’s flowers are typically medium-sized and adhere in a chunky, tapered formation. The buds maintain an indica-typical structure, with a dense core and compact, curly leaves. These leaves themselves are a mossy green and are twisted through with a lower than average volume of curly range pistils. A dusting of translucent white trichomes covers the inner and outer surfaces of these buds, accounting for their potency and making them very sticky.

On first inspection, Fifth Element has a dank, basement-like smell. Another whiff hint at some more pleasant, woodsy accents of pine and cedar. Grinding up the buds gives off some rich scents of hash. When burnt, Fifth Element can give off a harsh, thick smoke that may just trigger a coughing fit. This smoke tastes earthy with some pine flavors on the exhale.

For an indica, Fifth Element takes effects relatively quickly after users have smoked. Within a few minutes, the strain sends waves of relaxation rolling through the core, in tandem with a rush of blood to the head. Consumers may notice odd physical sensations like a pressure around the temples and lower forehead; many also experience an increase in salivation. Once these phenomena become familiar, users can tune into this strain’s ability to warp the senses. Certain visual and auditory stimuli can become enhanced or even distorted. A flattening of depth perception is also frequently reported, along with an uncanny sense of time dilation. Those who are willing to bask in these psychedelic properties can give them a boost with a moody playlist or a visually-engaging movie -- Luc Besson’s 1997 sci-fi thriller The Fifth Element is particularly appropriate here. Other than these trippy effects, Fifth Element doesn’t do much in the way of mental stimulation. Rather than complicated, problem-oriented tasks, users may prefer to kick back in the closest, most comfortable surroundings. This strain loosens up any deeply-held muscular tension and can push way any earlier stresses or preoccupations. As the high progresses -- or as dosage is increased -- it can become more and more spacey, causing the outside world to dissolve as smokers meld into their immediate surroundings. Couchlock is a real possibility under Fifth Element’s influence; as such, properly relaxed smokers should buckle down and engage in some pleasantly lazy pursuits like binge-watching or snacking. If your friends are the homebody type, this bud can be a fun way to share some hazy post-work downtime with them. Because of its mostly sleepy vibes, Fifth Element is recommended for consumption in the evening or nighttime.

Fifth Element can have many uses for medical cannabis patients as well. Its deep, therapeutic relaxation can temporarily improve the harsh symptoms of stress, depression, anxiety, and even PTSD. It can also dull physical pain, taking the sting out of temporary injuries and chronic discomfort due to conditions like lupus or arthritis. Anti-inflammatory properties, meanwhile, can treat minor annoyances like headaches. Under the right circumstances. Fifth Element may even lull insomniacs to sleep. Because it is more likely to soothe than to mentally agitate, this strain is a good option for patients who are prone to panic or who have a low THC tolerance.

Elemental Seeds used to sell starter packs of Fifth Element’s seeds online, but inventory is not consistently restocked. Those unable to buy the strain online should obtain clippings of mature, healthy plants that can be fostered as clone. Fifth Element can be grown indoors or out, although success outdoor calls for a hot and humid climate. Its crops are on the short and bushy side with strong lateral branching. This strain flowers within 8 to 9 weeks when grown indoors and offers a very high yield of flowers once mature.

Fifth Element’s long-lasting downbeat effects make it a must-try for indica fans. If you’re worried about discretion, best not to break this bud out in public, though; its pungency could attract the wrong kind of attention.
