Sticky Icky, not to be confused with Sticky Icky OG, which is actually one of its children, is a strong Indica-dominant (70/20) strain that also goes by the name of "Afgooey." Some breeders even consider it a phenotype of OG Kush. This strain is a cross between an Afghani landrace strain (some sources cite Afghan #1) and Maui Haze. This giggly, relaxing strain is flavorful, potentially powerful, and well-known as a fast route to being happy.

The strain flowers in about 8 weeks (sometimes as soon as 55 days), and begins giving off citrusy kush-like aromas even while still in the ground. The buds come in shaped like thick, densely packed pears. Its calyxes are mid-large and become covered in resin earlier in the flowering cycle compared to many strains. What you'll get if you order or harvest Sticky Icky is a crumbly, dense, sticky, light green bud that has darker green shades beneath. The leaves come in curly and green as fresh spring buds.

GROWING TIP: We don't recommend this strain for novice growers as Sticky Icky is known for being temperamental in terms of temperature. It prefers a semi-humid, warm climate of around the mid-70s Fahrenheit. However, landrace genes give it some resilience to the elements and a modest height (indoor growers already know that Indica-dominant plants, which tend to be shorter and bushier, are their friends). To keep its temperature controlled, we recommend an indoor setup anyway, particularly with a hydroponic system. Screen of Green or Sea of Green (SCROG) growing strategies can also be useful, to keep the plant's energy even more focused on its lateral branches.

One more thing that novice growers may not be able to handle is that Sticky Icky's buds need to be cured more than the average strain to preserve the flavor, which is a classic mix of earthy hash, skunk, and a peppery, woody aftertaste. There are also tones of citrus, pine, and other herbs. It's a compact, complex dose of flavors that Sticky Icky users can look forward to, which leads to an up-tempo high with a lot to offer people who have trouble controlling their stress.

On Sticky Icky, consumers will feel creative, powerfully relaxed and euphoric, and even sleepy. They'll be ready to draw, giggly, sleep, eat, and just enjoy themselves on a THC level that hovers in the mid-20s (though it can be highly variable).
