Skywalker is a 50/50 hybrid strain with a THC count of up to 15 percent. Well loved by many for the fruity aroma and taste that is coupled with a rather mellow Indica style high. Quickly creeping in is a sense of euphoria that, while not often leading to couch-lock, will usually leave a user feeling a little lazy, perhaps even sleepy.
This strain is great for relaxation as the other cerebral effects follow, uplifting users and making them feel happy. The body high that accompanies these effects is mild in comparison to some pure Indicas but still numbingly potent, as is Skywalker's munchies effect. Unfortunately this strain is not deprived of the usual negative effects; dry eyes and mouth, dizziness, paranoia and headaches.
While not everyone feels dragged down to the depths of sleep by the use of Skywalker, responsible first-time users should leave this strain to evening or night time use. It is often the choice of medication for those who sufferer from stress, anxiety and insomnia. Skywalker is not recommended for severe or intense pain but may lessen the effects of milder aches and pains. The strain is also used to induce appetite, fight depression and alleviate nausea.
Skywalker is bred by Dutch Passion, being a cross between a Mazar and a Blueberry. This strain is relatively easy to grow and can be grown by new growers. Flowering for between eight and nine weeks; this strain should be grown indoors. If grown in the most optimal conditions, plants may yield up to 400 grams per square meter.
Love this strain really works wonders for my back pains
Not powerful but tasty very subtle effects
So sadly I think this specific strain has really lost a lot of its luster. Its important to remember that it is a cross of two very old strains. The Blueberry Dutch Passion used was born in the 70s! Sadly, it seems like Blueberry has suffered from a lot of genetic drift. Lots of Blueberry crosses nowadays seem to lack in punch (unless crossed with something like an OG). The Mazar is just present to make it more of a work plant/production plant. I had some live resin recently and enjoyed tasting and experiencing the classic Blueberry terps. The reality is this plant was pretty close to what was like the hype strain when I first smoked back in the mid 90s at a Phish show. Blueberry has been bred into lots of different strains. You would be happy to just get a gram of good sensi Blueberry. But "Skywalker" was one of the earlier Blueberry crosses made and thus used some of the first Blueberry plants. One thing Blueberry still does well is give you the munchies. Also, like I said its lost a bit of its punch. This means it tends to provide a mild and relaxing indica high. This is one that you can go to work on IMO. I actually highly prefer Skywalker OG but like I said if you find a Blueberry Dominant "Skywalker" or "Blueberry x Mazar I Sherif" product it might be worth the trip to the past. Though I was glad I only grabbed a half gram instead of a full one. At the end of the day, stuff like Chemdog, Sour D and OG eclipsed this stuff in the past because it was a fuller experience. This stuff can feel "shallow" at times but also can bring back some memories. Also recommend highly to new consumers looking for mild but euphoric highs. From what I recall, it name stems from the feeling of "being uplifted high in the clouds" rather then "Luke Skywalker".
What a relaxing bud, definitely stick to nighttime use cause it will put you to sleep sooner or later..
