About Pancake Ice
Pancake Ice is an upcoming stain by Houseplant, a cannabis company founded by actor and comedian, Seth Rogen. The strain is one of three being launched along with Houseplant's California division. Rogen himself reported on Twitter that Pancake Ice is Sativa-dominant and tested at 33% THC.
Pancake Ice's name comes from a rare weather phenomenon where thin disks of ice form on a body of water's surface resembling...well...pancakes. Rogen has an affinity for naming cannabis strains after weather phenomenon, proven by his film Pineapple Express and two of Houseplant's other upcoming strains, Diablo Wind and Pink Moon.
Little else is known about Pancake Ice and we'll be updating this page as we learn more.
One loads Pancake Ice into one's piece (I'm using a Genius pipe right now) with lots of anticipation. What is Seth Rogan's idea of a great sativa? If Pancake Ice is it, I agree with him: Pancake Ice is a great sativa. I'm more into the head effects than flavors - so I'll apologize for not dwelling. The nose is dough & diesel. The flavor both in and out - pretty much the same. The high comes quickly with a head filling sense of well-being and creative focus. While one's thoughts can and do flow more quickly, it's easy to seize onto one thought in particular and bore in on it as deeply as desired. Definitely not a strain for newbies or those who prefer a kinder, gentler experience. I absolutely will sample Mr. Rogan's other ventures. If they're even half as good as Pancake Ice, they're worth the money.
Crescendo is what it actually is. Coped by Seth Rogen. It's mediocre at best.
