Freakshow
About Freakshow
Mutations don’t occur very often, but when they do things can get downright weird. Belonging in some sort of roaming cannabis carnival sideshow attraction is Freakshow, a mutated sativa that looks like no other cannabis plant you’ve seen. Found by long time grower “Shapeshifter” this ganja oddity’s leaves don't resemble the typical 5-7 finger universally recognized pot leaf shape. The lineage of Freakshow still remains unknown to this day. Instead the leaves have a more tattered, almost fern looking leaf. Freakshow might be of interest for those who are looking for cannabis plants incognito.
Other than its outrageous appearance, Freakshow grows like any typical cannabis plant with the same 12/12 flowering photoperiod and nutrient requirements. It isn’t some slow growing, weak mutant abomination either. It’s touted as having a really hefty yield and great terpene profile. Its ragged appearance makes it hard to identify, so it might be a good option for a few plants on the window sill or balcony.
Despite its crazy look, once properly dried, trimmed and cured Freakshow looks like any other cannabis you would find in the dispensary. It does have a very hazy, light green coloration and strangely thick, bronze and bristly hairs. The nose is quite pleasant for such a strange strain, it has a citrus kick with a gasoline back that is quite eye opening.
Typical Effects
Common Usage
The flavor keeps the fuel and lemon zest qualities and is a little unexpected from such a freak of nature. And Freakshow doesn’t seem to disappoint on the high either, clocking in around 18% - 19% THC this strain is driven by its effervescent terpene profile. The effects are typical for a sativa dominant strain and very socially enjoyable and functional. Great for a daytime, lunch break strain, Freakshow will give you and your working friends something to talk about.
THC Content
Available from Humboldt Seed Company and other reputable seed dealers, Freakshow makes a great addition to any garden and for any grower looking to get weird. Breeders will be ever fascinated by Freakshow’s strange leaf mutations and variety. It will be interesting to see what kind of crosses are made from this marjuana monstrosity in the future. Some dispensaries have picked up this strain as well, so you might be able to see the Freakshow for yourself.
