About Buddha's Sister

Sometimes rebranding a product can lead to its death but in the case of Buddha’s Sister, formerly known as Soma Skunk V+, the decision to change lead to a wealth of success. Carefully crafted in the Netherlands by Soma Seeds, this indica-dominant strain comes from Reclining Buddha and Afghani Hawaiian, making for an interesting mix of effects and flavors that you won’t soon forget.

A decent level of potency is present in this bud with her THC topping out at 22%. Her small nugs are very fluffy and while they may not have much in the way of their red pistils, their trichome and resin coverage is pretty insane. Depending on how sensitive you are, Buddha’s Sister may taste and smell overwhelmingly of tart cherries, but more experienced users can pick out a variety of other notes. Among them include cheese, earth, pine, and a sweet appeal that helps to balance things out.

Popular in coffee shops across Amsterdam, Buddha’s Sister is the ideal strain for relaxing at the end of a long day. If a zen-like feeling is what you’re after, a few tokes of this bud will do the trick quickly, with cerebral effects that lift you up and calm you down at the same time. Some users may find that they experience a burst of socialization, and while this helps to make it a great evening bud, that doesn’t mean you’ll be full of energy. Full on sedation isn’t quite where you’ll end up at the conclusion of your high, but it’s not uncommon to want to go to bed after enjoying this strain either.

Imagine what it would be like if you could put all of your medical issues into a backpack and then, at the end of the day, take it off and set it by the front door. While it sounds silly, that’s what Buddha’s Sister allows you to do, with effects that tackle both physical and mental issues with ease. Stress and depression will dissolve in your newly chilled out state and physical pain is soothed quickly and effectively. If insomnia has been getting the best of you, make sure to enjoy this strain before bed and wake up feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day.

Buddha’s Sister is a fairly easy strain for newer home growers to cultivate, however her preferred growing conditions lean toward very sunny climates. Indoor growth isn’t recommended unless you’re utilizing hydroponics, so if that’s not an option, you’d be better off finding another bud. After 9 to 10 weeks of growth, this sturdy plant will produce a large yield that will have you grinning from ear to ear.

This is one of my favorite strains of indica in years of trying out different dispensary strains. It's earthy, sweet, and mellow to smoke, like homecoming. It immediately reduces my stress and calms my mind, and I find it helpful to combat insomnia. This is one I always try to have in stock at home.
