Bazookies is a cutely named hybrid of Bubblegum and GSC, the infamous Girl Scout Cookies strain, which defines the word “classic” when it comes to West Coast cannabis. Klone Colorado made Bazookies and imbued it with that sweet Kush flavor that smells of sugary fruit and pine even when it’s still in the ground. This strain just reeks of the outdoors, bringing a balanced Indica/Sativa profile (50/50) to bear on an epic bodily high that does its parents’ name proud. Continue reading to learn what’ll happen if you decide to shoot your brain with a full dose of Bazookies.
The strain’s terpene profile favors Beta-Caryophyllene, Beta-Myrcene, and Terpinolene. This gives the strain its sweet woody flavors mixed with the aroma of bubble gum candy. It’s sweet and outdoorsy, like fruit-flavored gum mixed with piney, woody flavors, almost like the flavor of a sweet tomato or earthy apple. With a little skunk on the aftertaste, almost a grassy flavor, Bazookies is like taking a big deep breath of the countryside. The THC is low, around 12% on average, which should help new cannabis consumers ease themselves into this fragrant strain. We’re happy to report that it’s easy to grow as well, flowering in around 60 days without much trouble (prepare for a mid-October harvest when grown outside).
GROWING TIPS: The Bazookies strain resists mold and pests pretty well. We advise keeping the strain at a Mediterranean climate for most of the growing cycle and pruning it frequently to maximize your yield. Sea of Green growing techniques would work well too, which makes Bazookies equally good for experienced growers who know what they’re doing and novices who want a hardy strain to practice advanced techniques on.
Bazookies’ high comes on slowly, taking a few minutes to get going. But when it does hit, it delivers a burst of creative relaxation that progresses into a potent body high. Finally, you’ll feel productive, heady, and happy. The strain’s ability to ward off pain and encourage focus makes it a great workday strain, one that a remote worker can use to stay relaxed and focused when the day starts to feel long.
If you can handle an outdoorsy flavor that mixes sugary gum, pine, herbs, and apples and a sizable body high (and a boost of productivity), Bazookies could be an effective addition to your relaxation arsenal.
Got this strain as some concentrate, blasted by Mile High Dabs. Color is a light yellow, consistency is a oily wax, smell is fairly light but sweet on the nose, and the taste is more of a bubblegum flavor. The high hits with a rush if uplifting energy that you can quite literally feel as it races through you. Head high is slightly foggy with some slight pressure around the temples and a droopiness to my eyes. Thoughts seems to slow down considerably and feel heavy. The body high is prominent but not overly heavy. It has a weight to it but it's not couch-locky, though possibly it may make doing things a tad tough but not impossible. There's also a slight tingle to the body high. I'm a huge fan of anything GSC and this one is no exception yet I don't absolutely LOVE it. For my preference, I'd rate this a 7.5/10.
