Prince Edward Island Possession, Purchasing, and Consumption Rules

If you are 19 years old or older, you can purchase and possess up to 30 grams of cannabis at a time. You can also grow up to four plants at home.  Purchasing cannabis in store: If you want to purchase cannabis in person, you have four storefront options: the O’Leary, Summerside, Charlottetown, or Montague location.  If you are legally aged, you can purchase flower, edibles, and concentrates from these stores.  Purchasing cannabis online: If you live on Prince Edward Island, you can order cannabis online through PEI Cannabis. You’ll need to receive your cannabis delivery in person, or it will be sent to a Canada Post office where you can pick it up when you’re available.  Consumption laws: You can consume cannabis in a private residence only. Driving while high is illegal.  

Licensing Rules for Retailers

Prince Edward Island Cannabis Management Corporation (PEICMC) regulates cannabis in cooperation with the PEI Liquor Control Commission (PEILCC).  There is no private retail in Prince Edward Island, and the province has limited the number of government-run physical storefronts to four.
