New Brunswick Possession, Purchasing, and Consumption Rules

You can purchase cannabis in New Brunswick if you are 19 years old or older and possess up to 30 grams of flower on you at a time. You can also grow up to four plants on your property for personal use.   Purchasing cannabis in store: You can get cannabis products including dried flower, edibles, concentrates, oils, and topicals from Cannabis NB, the only brick and mortar legal retailer serving the province. You can find store locations here.  Purchasing cannabis online: Cannabis NB also provides a cannabis online delivery service. Delivery usually takes one business day. To order cannabis online, create an account with Cannabis NB. Keep in mind that you cannot order cannabis from Cannabis NB unless you live in New Brunswick.   Consumption laws: Cannabis cannot be consumed publicly, but you can use it in the privacy of your home. If you rent, you’ll need to comply with your landlord’s cannabis policies. Driving while high is illegal. 

Licensing Rules for Retailers

The only legal cannabis retailer in New Brunswick is the government-run Cannabis NB. It is a subsidiary of New Brunswick Liquor Corporation (ANBL). There are 20 stores located in 15 communities within the province.
