CBD is all the rage and right under that umbrella, you’ll find CBD subscription boxes, the hemp industry’s version of Trunk Club.

What is a CBD subscription box?

CBD subscription boxes are a monthly subscription service that sends you a box full of CBD products to supplement your wellness routine. Most include some form of CBD gummies, topicals, and tinctures. One company that makes a great CBD subscription box is Cure Crate. They recently sent me a box of goodies to test out and I was pleasantly surprised with the haul.

Who is Cure Crate?

Cure Crate is another Los Angeles-based company with a Los Angeles-based story. They have a CBD subscription service that, for a mere $63/month, will send you over $120 of CBD products tailored to your personal needs. They determine your needs from a pre-order survey based on your CBD consumption frequency, favorite category of CBD product (vape, caps, edibles, etc), and what type of experience looking for CBD, amongst a few other qualifiers.

What’s in the Cure Crate Co sub box?

The Cure Crate I received came with 5 different products, all third party lab-tested for potency, pesticides, and heavy metals.

The Smoking Hippie King Size Hemp Rolls

The Smoking Hippie is an LA-company with a line of king size hemp flower pre-rolls that come in 3 strains: Lifter, Sour Space Candy, and Blue Genius.  I usually don’t rock with hemp flower, pre-rolls, or really anything, but these wouldn’t be so bad for someone who’d love to smoke cannabis, but doesn’t want the high. The Lifter smoke was a lot less harsh than 97% of the hemp flower I’ve tasted; and while smoking these won’t get high, does place a certain therapeutic haze over your body that makes it easy to chill out.

Upside Gummy Bare CBD 300mg Sour Lemon Lime Gummies

Upside Edibles is another all-around cannabis brand that’s also moved into the hemp CBD sector. Cure Crate shot us a couple packs of their Sour Lemon Lime gummy “bares,” and guess what? Fire. These gummies aren’t super sticky and chemically, like a lot of other CBD gummies out there, the taste reminds you of popping Flintstones vitamins as a kid. I ate the entire 300mg jar in one sitting and I’ll tell you that CBD buzz definitely hit my spirit.

Manitoba Harvest Broad Spectrum Peppermint Spray

Manitoba Harvest is a Canadian hemp company that produces a broad spectrum peppermint spray. Broad spectrum means a product that contains all the chemical properties of the plant, except THC. There’s really not much to say about this one. It was a pretty standard tincture/spray with a nice peppermint taste that doesn’t linger too long.

Noetic Hemp Extract Nasal Spray

Nasal Spray Noetic Nutraceuticals’ hemp CBD extract nasal spray is a CBD nasal spray that comes in an organic vanilla flavoring. It is advertised as “the fastest way to affect the neurological system. It was a pretty fun and interesting product to use, I’m just not really sure I need to snort my cannabinoids. That vanilla flavoring smells (tastes?) pretty good though.

Physicians Grade Prime CBD Rescue Cream

THIS. WAS. THE. ONE. Out of the high-quality products I received in the Cure Crate CBD subscription box, the Physician’s Grade Prime CBD Rescue Cream was the biggest blessing. Physicians Grade is a company out of Florida. Their Prime CBD Rescue Cream is a 200mg, CBD infused hydrating body balm, which is a fancy way for saying creamy lotion. It rubs in so damn nice, and the hydration is felt in a very soothing and relaxing way. I rubbed it on my hands an hour ago and boy my fingers are FLOATING over these keys, do you hear me?!  If you’re a fan of topical creams, you definitely need this in your stash.

Cure Crate Final Call

The Cure Crate is absolutely worth your 60 bucks per month. To know that a company’s going to send high quality, lab-tested products, right to your front door every month is a true blessing. The most beautiful part is you don't have to do ANY of the shopping research and work, which is perfect for the average consumer who doesn’t care to learn about all the strains and terpenes and cannabinoids of the plant world.  Most importantly, Cure Crate openly stands in favor of restorative justice from the War on Drugs by making monthly donations to the Last Prisoner Project.  The Last Prisoner Project is a nonprofit coalition of cannabis industry leaders, executives, and artists dedicated to bringing restorative justice to the cannabis industry. With a legal cannabis industry in many states, and a fully legal hemp industry across the entire nation, 100% of people in jail for cannabis-related offenses need to be released right this second. The Last Prisoner Project has made it their mission to ensure this happens, and by supporting companies like Cure Crate, you can too.
