Tropical Berry
About Tropical Berry
The Tropical Berry strain grows into a medium-sized plant that is colorful and sweet-smelling. This indica-dominant hybrid is known for giving its users a feeling of happiness and clear-headedness. These effects are a result from its parent, the Elite strain, and the infamous, all-encompassing OG Kush (some sources list Blueberry as a potential parent as well). Though the strain’s genetic origins leave a little mystery, its effects don’t follow suit. Keep reading to learn about what you can expect from Tropical Berry (other than bliss).
The strain’s mid-sized plants are bushy in structure. Once you taste it, frequent indica users will recognize the genetics right away. The strain’s flowers are bright and multi-colored, light green with a deep purple core that can liven up any garden. The strain is ready for harvest in around 8-9 weeks and smells like sugar and berries, like glazed fruit. The strain is thickly coated in fine, white trichomes.
The flavor of the strain follows this aroma with an initial pang of fruity-sweet flavor like tropical berries, as you’d probably expect. It progresses without changing, getting even sweeter and more sugary as you smoke. The strain’s effects hinge on feelings of creativity and an uplifting, motivating sense of calm. We recommend using Tropical Berry on a busy afternoon when you can hang out with friends, motivate yourself to do chores, and work on some creative hobbies. Tropical Berry pairs well with drawing, watching movies, writing, and doing other tasks that require mental focus but not any strenuous movement.
Typical Effects
Common Usage
Tropical Berry provides a pleasant-tasting buzz that can shock you awake in the middle of a busy afternoon. We don’t recommend using this strain to try and get to sleep or relax too far – it’s too heady and motivating for that. The sugary calm is accessible, so long as you can handle THC levels in the upper teens. Reported side effects include dry mouth and a funky aftertaste. The strain was bred by the Dutch Passion Seed Company, which was formed in 1987 in Amsterdam and eventually expanded to Canada. They were one of the first major Dutch seed banks, whose work includes CBD Skunk Haze and Tropical Berry, of course.
