About Trident

This rare strain is best known for its prized medicinal uses and very low-fi buzz, making it a gem for anyone who is need of medical treatment over recreational effects. Though the parentage is kept largely secret and the original breeders are under some debate, with some claiming it to be of unknown origins and others declaring it a product of PlantMaster Seeds out of the US, the healing properties that Trident offers are hard to dispute.

THC levels come in at a surprisingly low range topping out at 6%, but what it lacks in THC Trident makes up for in its soaring CBD levels. Expect to see 12% on average with some tests peaking at 15%. As a result, these piney, earthy flavored buds will have you feeling tingles throughout your body without too much haze in the mind. The nugs are bright green with hints of gold and smell of tart pine and earth.

As mentioned before, this is not strictly a recreational bud as the effects are extremely mellow, if you notice them at all. Bred for its high CBD content, Trident tends to lean towards a relaxed high that builds over time and allows users to feel uplifted and pain-free without the heady high that some 50/50 strains produce. If you are a ‘for fun’ smoker, try this one at a chill time when you haven’t much else to do. Though it does give a minor burst of energy, it’s not sustainable and fades fairly quick.

For medicinal purposes, you’ve hit the CBD jackpot. This strain is great for ailments that react to CBD and can be used in the treatment of epilepsy, muscle spasms, chronic pain, inflammation, and muscle tension. Additionally, it is recommended in pill or edible form as a way to ease off the swelling after chemotherapy or radiation treatments. If you suffer from depression or stress, this is a great strain to try for its therapeutic and uplifting properties. The side effects of this strain are mild, but can be compounded if used in excess and include anxiety and paranoia.

A moderately easy to grow strain, this indoor and outdoor plant has a flowering time of 12 to 13 weeks and will have an above average yield in the right conditions. If you are growing this plant indoors, be aware that it can grow up to six and a half feet tall if left to its own devices, so be sure to top and trim early.
