About The Ooze

Appropriately-named The Ooze is a slow-moving indica hybrid with a complex aroma and a relaxing high. A cross between notorious sativa Green Crack and White Fire Alien OG, this strain is a heavy hitter that’s liable to derail any plans for productivity. Sure to affect cannabis newbies and veterans alike, its THC content has been measured at between 16% and 24%.

The Ooze is distinguished by its medium to large-size buds which adhere in chunky, almost spherical formations. These flowers lean more indica than sativa, with a tight and compact structure and small, tightly-coiled leaves. These leaves themselves are a dark shade of forest green and are twisted through with brown and orange pistils. Finally, translucent white trichomes dot the surfaces of these buds, making them very difficult to break up without the help of a quality grinder.

The Ooze has a primarily sweet and herbal aroma, similar to certain varieties of tea. There are also some fruity berry accents lurking underneath. Grinding up the flowers yields some astringent fumes of diesel. When combusted in a pipe or a joint, The Ooze burns with a harsh smoke that may just trigger a coughing fit. This smoke tastes fruity and peppery on the exhale.

The Ooze takes some time to unleash its full effects and may not make itself known until 10 or 15 minutes after users have toked. Initial symptoms include a pressure around the temples or lower forehead as well as some possible flushing in the cheeks. These tics soon give way to a subtle enhancement of the user’s thought process, with some ideas or concepts occupying more attention than they ordinarily might. Changes to perception may also occur, including an intensification of certain sights or sounds or a weird feeling of time passing more slowly. Other than these potentially disorienting effects, The Ooze doesn’t significantly impact the mind. Instead, prepare for the waves of relaxation that progressively roll down the neck, relieving any points of muscular tension and maybe provoking some signs of contentment. As the high wears on, these physically soothing properties become more and more prominent, so much so that The Ooze can undo any plans you may have made to be productive. In a sufficiently relaxed environment, immobilizing couchlock is certainly possible, making you feel as if your body is a puddle ready to ooze out onto the floor. At these later stages, the strain is best suited to low-impact activities like binge-watching or doing laundry. It can also be a useful social lubricant, facilitating conversation and good vibes even when used among new acquaintances. Because of its slow decrescendo in energy levels, this is a good bud to enjoy in the late afternoon or early evening when its sedation can be fully savored.

The Ooze can also be of use to medical cannabis patients. Its soothing, body-melting properties can provide a temporary distraction from the difficult symptoms of stress, depression, and anxiety. It can also dull physical pain, whether it’s temporary, as due to injury, or chronic, as due to conditions like lupus or arthritis. Anti-inflammatory properties, meanwhile, can take care of lesser irritations like headaches and nausea. In the right conditions, The Ooze can even lull users to sleep, making it a good organic treatment for insomnia. Because it is not likely to bring about paranoia or patterns of obsessive, recursive thinking, this strain is a good option for patients who are prone to paranoia or who have a low THC tolerance.

With no seeds available for sale online, prospective home growers should obtain clippings from mature plants of this strain in order to grow clones. It can be grown indoors or out, although outdoor success depends on a semi-humid climate with consistent daytime sunlight and temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Plants tend to grow short and bushy and may need to be occasionally pruned of their broad fan leaves in order to encourage the growth of low-growing flowering nodes. The Ooze flowers 7 to 8 weeks when grown indoors.

Certain to make you want to stretch out and relax, The Ooze is a physically potent strain. It’s enjoyable whether you’re toking alone or sharing with friends.
