Purple Poison
About Purple Poison
History & Genetics
Rising Sun Cultivars aka Coolskierguy bred Purple Poison from some of the ’90s most revered stony sativas, which almost sounds like the start of a joke but it’s not - it’s just the start of this oddball strain profile, which somehow came out leaning towards indica (60/40). Tangerine Dream and Purple Urkle crossed to Durban Poison created Purple Poison and you can expect as many pleasant otherworldly feelings of floaty fantasy as you can from the band that lent its name to this beautiful oddity.
Appearance, Aroma, & Flavor
The plant radiates vibrating colors, bright greens, and neon purples, on large furry buds with leaves that fan out. If the minty appearance and olive leaves don’t excite you, the buzzy body high probably will.
Typical Effects
Common Usage
THC Content
First, the taste. Purple Poison is a classic cocktail of floral flavors and a focused, outdoorsy terpene profile that includes Pinene and other sweet, earthy compounds. Those who want to relax in a floral haze without worrying so much about a skunky aftertaste could really enjoy Purple Poison. The energetic kick is just the bonus.
Effects
Purple Poison will be poison to your sleep ethic if you want to find the cannabis that will help you get some shuteye. This strain is for getting a little mid-afternoon boost, a relaxing but not sedating body stone that gives you clarity, yes. Euphoria, yes. Sleepiness, no.
Active clarity can be hard to achieve alone - a lot of us probably don’t even remember what that’s like. It means you can maintain high energy, focus on work, and not get fatigued. It’s hard to maintain, and yet just as equally significant for success in the modern day. Purple Poison isn’t exactly a secret ingredient for all success, but its cerebral euphoria can provide a sense of clarity and focus. Pain, depression, and stress can be treated with a gentle dose of poison.
Those who suffer from pain chronically can REALLY benefit from a daily jolt of Purple Poison. It might be exactly what you need to get back to work, power through a busy day, and while you’re at it, hang out in a fog of hazy florals and sweet earthy goodness.
Growing
When growing Purple Poison, you can expect the plants to grow upward of 60-80 inches. It stretches in your growing space - so make sure you give it enough room. They don't seem to prefer indoors vs outdoors. The flowering period is around 54-61 days, yielding 1-2 oz/ft squared.
