About Pineapple Preserves
The Pineapple Preserves strain gets its name from the super-sweet fruit spread and even takes after it in terms of terpenes. It’s an evenly balanced hybrid that boasts around 16% THC, approximately 1% CBD, and comes from crossing a female Northern Lights Afghani to a male Humboldt Pineapple. High Country Genetics created Pineapple Preserves which have been proved to be an ideal strain for producing concentrates.
The terpenes included in Pineapple Preserves are a diverse profile that favors myrcene and linalool. Then below that, you have traces of a ton of others, including geraniol, borneol, carene, phellandrene, humulene, and a hint of pulegone. Some of these terpenes are pretty uncommon in cannabis, giving Pineapple Preserves its unique palette.
The flavor of the strain starts out incredibly sweet, as you might expect, like pineapple and citrus. However, the flavor evolves, taking on hints of pineapple, plum, and tobacco. On the exhale, the strain can transition to more spicy earth tones. The aroma of the strain is a similar blend of interesting notes, with an initial sensation of sweet tropical fruit that evolves into hashier, more chemmy tones.
The strain is adept at imparting users with feelings of motivation and happiness, opening your mind’s eye. At first you will feel uplifted and creative, but eventually you’ll feel lightly sedated and ready to go to sleep. In this heady, creative trance, you’ll feel like talking with friends, painting, hanging out, watching movies, and you’ll be super prone to laughter. You’ll be giggling at the slightest thing.
The bud itself is small, like bright green, elongated Christmas trees, coated in thin amber pistils and a generous helping of opaque, gold-white crystals, like milky dust. We suggest using the strain in the afternoon when you have friends around so that you can get rid of your work stress and be creative, uplifted, calm, and giggly.
The strain grows in a Christmas tree formation, around 30-60 inches both indoors and outdoors, with a nice yield of around 400g per plant. It should be done in around 9 weeks. They tend to have giant buds and little leaf production which makes for an easy trim!
