About Oregon Grape

Oregon Grape is a hybrid cross between White Widow and AK-47. This means that this Sativa-dominant creation, with 15% THC levels and a tightlipped breeder, has both Afghani and Thai landrace strains in its heritage. A grapey aroma and a sense of strong, warming relaxation follow this strain wherever it goes, even if growing information is scarce on this unique Pacific Northwest bud.

This strain Is only available as clones. It’s a cultivar with an opaque history – most of what we know about the strain has to be deduced from its famous parents, who were heavy-hitters in the 90s and classic breeding stock today. This first-gen child of AK-47 was never a particularly stable cultivar. It’s known for hermaphrodite flowers, even late in its growing cycle. Due to these unknowns, we can’t recommend Oregon Grape as a strain for novice growers to cut their teeth on. If you do take it on, however, you’ll discover a strain whose purple-green buds are unpredictable yet rewarding.

The Oregon Grape flavor is what you might expect – a cloud of grapey, mellow fruit flavors that progress into spicy-herbal tones recalling the strain’s heritage. The Netherlands breeder, Green House Seeds, introduced the world to White Widow back in the 90s. She’s been an industry obsession ever since and teaches her kid a thing or two about relaxing users without sedating them, as well as balancing calm fruit flavors with kicks of fast-acting spicy earth.

The strain’s ability to hit fast and hard, progressing to warmth and euphoria throughout the user’s body, makes it a great strain for relaxing after a long week without causing a knockout. Relaxing tense minds and tense muscles is its specialty. Even though its breeders are not well-known, its heritage provides plenty of clues to how Oregon Grape can power through tension and stress with grape-flavored devotion and more than a little bit of the warm buzz we know and love from its parents.
