OG Lime Killer
About OG Lime Killer
One of the more well-known names in Colorado, Ethos Genetics has produced some incredible strains over the years. While many of their plants tend to blend recreational and medicinal effects, one might argue that OG Lime Killer is all about fun. A cross between Starkiller OG and Lemon OG Haze, she often goes by the name Lime Killer OG or is seen written as OG Limekiller. No matter what you call her, she’s tasty and powerful as can be.
Potency reports tend to vary quite a bit with this lady, and while Ethos notes that she clocks in at 25% THC and 1% CBD, others have found her on store shelves with a nearly 1:1 ratio. Her flower is incredibly bright in color and takes on a fluffy silhouette, complete with very thick, chunky white trichomes. As is to be expected, her dominating flavors include lemon and lime, but users with a more nuanced palate will also pick up hints of wood, pine, and flowers. Zesty and simultaneously earthy, OG Lime Killer can certainly help to put some pep in your daytime step.
Just as her potency seems to vary, so do her effects, and while she’s a sativa-dominant bud, it seems as if some find her more sedating than others. In general, this strain does impart a sensation of happiness and creativity into most users with just a slight bit of sedation that doesn’t affect things all that much. However, others tend to become a bit overwhelmed and find that simply trying to take life a little slower is the best approach. While it’s a given with any cannabis strain, we’d recommend experimenting with OG Lime Killer first to see how you react before counting on her to help you with the focus needed to get through a long day.
Ethos is one of those breeders that seems to want to keep their strains close to their hearts, as locating seeds of OG Lime Killer is an exercise in futility. However, they do give some information about cultivation techniques, so maybe all hope is not yet lost? Roughly 8 to 10 weeks is required for plants to mature indoors, and it seems as if their yields are fairly high. At this point, the Ethos strain library is one to drool over, so we can only hope that seeds become readily available to the public.
She’s sometimes hard to find if you’re far away from Colorado, but if you do run into OG Lime Killer, make sure to stock up and save her for the days when you really need a bit of a kick in the pants. Perhaps you’ll end up with a super potent strain that offers total relaxation or a high CBD nug that helps relieve pain - either way, she’s a prime choice for cannabis lovers.
