About Mau-Mau

With a unique history behind its name and a great set of effects, Mau-Mau was gifted to the world by Irie Vibe Seeds. This lovely strain was created in Spain by crossing an indica-dominant Blockhead female and a Killer Queen male to generate offspring that’s absolutely delicious. Named for the UK artist himself who fell in love with the strain, Mau-Mau will have you ready for a great night any day of the week.

THC levels are in a really good area with this strain, and as they average around 15% or so, it allows users of all experiences to enjoy her effects. Mau-Mau nugs are certainly a sight to behold, with heart-shaped flowers that feature bright orange hairs and chunky amber trichomes. Her blend of flavors and aromas also win fans over time and time again, as citrus, berries, and earth all come together for a mouth-watering treat.

Mau-Mau brings a surprisingly strong kick of sativa effects for how heavily indica-dominant she is. Users will instantly feel incredibly energetic and uplifted after just a few hits, giving you waves of creative passion that help to fuel your waiting tasks. Be sure to get things done quickly however, because once you start to feel pressure behind your eyes and in your forehead, it’s all over. Mau-Mau imparts a body buzz from head to toe that brings you to a place of heavy sedation, leading to a deep and relaxing night of sleep.

While it seems contradictory, this strain is actually great for those who struggle with fatigue or insomnia, as either condition can be helped by varying parts of your high. Any kind of mental concerns including stress or depression are melted away by Mau-Mau’s euphoric energy, and bodily aches and pains are a thing of the past once you begin to feel that buzz. Most patients note that with regular use, this strain can help them get back to a normal sleep schedule again.

As if this strain couldn’t get any better, Mau-Mau is a very easy strain to cultivate at home and is great for total newbies as well as more experienced growers. A sturdy plant that only takes about 8 to 9 weeks to flower, she’s resistant to molds and mildews. Outdoor growth requires a warm and sunny climate, but either way you’ll end up with a nice yield.

Given that Mau-Mau actually designed the original packaging for seeds of this strain, you can bet that it’s a good one to spend your money on. Those who want to end their day on a great note can plan their experience accordingly, with the sativa effects getting them through the end of the workday and then relying on the indica side to offer a mellow night at home.
