About Mace Windu
Mace Windu is named after a Jedi warrior, always calm and in control of himself. Like the Jedi, this strain can provide relief from various ailments without being overbearing. The strain appeared in the late 2000s, popping up in a few dispensaries across California and the West Coast.
It is a cross between Master Kush and Hindu Kush, which makes sense since its original name was "Master Hindu Kush." In 2012, Chubbs, an administrator on the Nuggetry website, renamed the strain, feeling that the original name did not do it justice. Because several strains lay claim to the name of Master Kush, the exact lineage can be hard to nail down, but nearly all of these strains include Hindu Kush and Skunk #1. Hindu Kush is a landrace Indica from the Hindu Kush mountain range.
Unfortunately, this strain is rather elusive, and very few have had the privilege to grow it.
I currently have hundreds of feminized seeds of this strain. I've bred it with itself 8 times the genetics are very stable. It's a heavy heavy indica dominant strain. Within a week each finger of 1 leaf are 2 1/2 in. across. I'm currently flowering 2, with 1 mother in veg. It's a fun relaxing stress relieving high. Smells of cheese and berries but tastes very down to earth. Shorter high, but very relaxing inducing, has a quick hit to the brain and slowly melts all your worries away. Not a super couch lock, however very fun to smoke in a chill sit down social smoke session. If you can get your hands on it, I recommend it. However buyer beware there are a lot of hermies to this strain as pollen chuckers love to just let this one go. I went through 12 dispensaries before finding one that had 0 seeds but offered clones, every other dispo offered dirt cheap ozs, because each 1 inch bud had between 6 and 10 seeds. Glad I finally got my hands on stable genetics to hoard it for myself, it grows nicely next to Skywalker OG, and Wookie OG. Clearly I'm a star wars fan. Go out and get you some. Peace and one love all. Happy growing!
