Helium
About Helium
The Helium strain is a product of the Cookies brand in their collaboration with Rick Ross, (he also helped them breed Red Velvet) for their latest strain line in St. Louis. The strain is a cross between Sour Cookies and Cheetah Piss, which should tell you a lot about its gassy onset and lemon-chemmy aftertaste. The strain has dense buds shaped like little strawberries, with happiness-inducing effects that mix well with a concert or a day hanging out with some buds. We recommend keeping Helium handy when you don’t mind zoning out and enjoying the scenery.
The flavor of the strain initiates a strong taste of fuel at the onset that fades into lemon and herb flavors, with a touch of pine. If you can’t handle strains that are pungent and gassy, you should move along – Helium makes its presence known loud and strong wherever it goes. Though the exact proportion hasn’t been reported, sources say that Helium is a sativa-dominant hybrid, one that can inflate your brain with so much joy and creativity that you’ll feel like drifting away on the first light breeze.
It’s high is relaxing and mind-alleviating, without the couch-lock that is normally associated with similar strains. Helium doesn’t seem to induce sedation so much as a spaced-out feeling of relaxation that goes well with hanging out and enjoying yourself. We recommend a concert, a bar, a movie, or just hanging out with friends. Helium will put you in the mood to be entertained and creative, though don’t expect to be able to focus on anything for long! You’ll have a bouncing brain on this strain, jumping from one thing to the next.
Typical Effects
Common Usage
Helium grows in dense, plump buds that are dark green like clumps of deep forest, shaped like strawberries, and lined with hairs that are dull amber in color like flecks of rust. The inside is brighter green, with sparkling trichomes that stick to your fingers with a good amount of sweet resin. You’ll smell the gas and lemon terpenes coming off the buds as you crush them up – we recommend having a good grinder on hand for this strain to take full advantage of its pungent terpenes and sticky goodness.
THC Content
Since debuting in the midwest, Helium is known among cannabis consumers for plentiful trichomes, a strong scent of gassy fruit, and sturdy little buds. Until more breeders get their hands on some seeds, we won’t know more about its THC content or growing structure. But for now, if you can find someone selling Helium, you can at least be sure that a favorite pastime and an appetite for chemmy terpenes will help you go a long way with this new Missouri mainstay.
