Garlic Jelly
About Garlic Jelly
History and Genetics
The origin of Garlic Jelly is unknown, but it is an indica-dominant hybrid that is believed to be a cross between GMO and Jelly Breath. GMO is a super popular heavy indica whose parents are GSC and Chemdawg. Jelly Breath is also a legendary strain which was created through crossing Mendo Breath and Do-Si-Dos, contributing to Garlic Jelly’s heavy hitting high.
Appearance, Aroma and Flavor
Garlic Jelly has extremely dense, spade-shaped, dark green buds, with long orange pistils and a layer of light pink trichomes. These compact nugs become sticky and fluffy when grinded.
This strain definitely lives up to its name, with a strong aroma of garlic and fruity jelly, with undertones of coffee and spice.
THC Content
Its flavour is just as intriguing, with a sweet grapefruit jelly flavor, and notes of funky garlic and mild diesel taste.
Effects
Although Garlic Jelly is indica-dominant, right after smoking it will provide you with a short, but intense sense of focus. Slowly, the cerebral high will leave you blissfully happy that will last the entire high. Relaxation will shortly overtake your body and mind, which often leaves you in a sedative state. Make sure you have a comfy place to rest after cracking open a jar of Garlic Jelly. This strain’s high THC content and sedative properties make it a perfect nighttime smoke, and can help with pain, stress and insomnia.
Growing
Garlic Jelly is grown indoors, taking 8-9 weeks to flower and yields moderate to high amounts of flower.
