About Dream Berry

Dream Berry is an indica-leaning strain that synthesizes two powerhouse varieties. Prolific growers Apothecary Genetics created it as a cross between tasty Blackberry and the mega-popular hybrid Blue Dream. Dream Berry offers all the bold flavors of its parents as well as a soothing, well-balanced high. Its THC content has been measured between 16% and 20%.

When properly trimmed, flowers of this strain have a medium to large size and a conical shape, tapering down from a broad base to a pointed tip. The buds have a tight, compact structure with relatively small leaves that curl tightly inward. The leaves themselves are a yellowish green with some phenotypes showing off flashes of purple as well; these surprising hues come about when anthocyanin pigments in the plant’s genetics are stimulated by cold weather during the growing process. Finally, translucent white trichomes coat the solid flowers, making them hard to break up with a grinder.

When properly cured, Dream Berry’s flowers give off the sweet berry scent that people love so much about its Blue Dream parent. A closer inspection reveals some sharp hints of pine, too. Grinding up or breaking open these buds gives off some pungent diesel fumes. Despite some heavy flavors, Dream Berry gives off a smooth smoke when combusted. On the exhale, this smoke carries a blend of fruity and piney notes.

It takes some time -- as much as 15 minutes in some cases -- before Dream Berry begins to exert its considerable effects. Eventually, smokers may notice some increase in blood pressure around the temples and the front of the face; some flushing in the cheeks is also possible. Once these odd sensations become more familiar, some mental effects may become more obvious. Consumers may notice their thoughts taking on a new intensity or dimension; they may also find interest in ideas or objects that might not otherwise strike them. This cerebral frame of mind can be a good way to focus your productivity on detailed, work-related tasks. It may also free up inhibitions on creativity for those working on freewheeling projects or brainstorming sessions.

As time passes (or if dosage is increased, Dream Berry’s strong body stone begins to work its way in. Waves of relaxation work their way through the core and limbs, doing away with any long-standing muscular tension. Although Dream Berry allows smokers to maintain their mental clarity at this point, they may lose some of their prior energy or motivation. At this point, the strain is great for kicking off a binge-watching session or zoning out to some atmospheric music. Because of its descent into euphoric relaxation, Dream Berry is recommended for consumption starting in the late afternoon.

Dream Berry’s versatile properties can have several applications for medical cannabis patients as well. The focus that comes with its onset may help those with attention deficit disorders to stay grounded on single tasks. Additionally, its euphoria and sensory enhancement may help to temporarily diminish the symptoms of stress and depression. The strain’s indica effects, meanwhile, can soothe physical pain, whether it’s due to inflammation, as in the case of cramps or headaches, or to chronic conditions like arthritis. Because of its strong, potentially disorienting sense of mind race, Dream Berry is not recommended for patients who are prone to panic or paranoia or who have a low tolerance for THC.

Considered an easy grow for newcomers to cultivation, Dream Berry’s seeds are available for sale online. Once obtained, it can be grown indoors or out, although outdoor cultivation calls for a semi-humid climate with temperatures between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Plants tend to grow short and bushy with strong lateral branching patterns. Gardeners looking out to bring out purple highlights in their final harvest should briefly expose the plants to nighttime temperatures between 55 and 70 degrees. Dream Berry flowers within a very short 6 to 7 weeks when grown indoors.

Dream Berry is a good smoke whether enjoyed alone or shared with friends. Its complex aroma and drowsy high make it a great choice for end-of-day use.
