About Dirt Nap

Dirt Nap is an aptly-named Indica-dominant hybrid strain of cannabis first grown in the United States. A cross between Do-Si-Dos and Ghost OG, Dirt Nap is one of the first hybrid strains to ever use the Ghost OG genetics. Dirt Nap was first grown by Archive Seed Bank, a cannabis organization in Portland, Oregon that is devoted to offering the full cannabis experience to its medical and recreational customers. Dirt Nap was created using one of the first cuts of Ghost OG, which was still called OG Kush and Oger at the time. In order to tame a bit of the effects of this strain and to increase bag appeal, the master breeders at Archive Seed Bank introduced it to a Do-Si-Dos plant and kept the resulting hybrid. This strain is perfect for a late afternoon/early evening smoke as the high is nothing short of relaxing.

Physically, Dirt Nap buds looking nothing like how the name suggests they would look. Though the “dirt” in Dirt Nap suggests a dirty, low-quality product, this strain is anything but. In fact, Do-Si-Dos was included in the cross specifically to increase the bag appeal of the Ghost OG cut that didn’t look so great, according to the growers at Archive Seed Bank.

This strain produces oversized, spade-shaped buds colored like the most flavorful white grapes you’ve ever seen. These buds are often accented by deep purple undertones and sugar leaves in addition to a thick coating of milky-white trichomes. Depending on the pheno and cut, you might also spot some burnt orange hairs amongst the flowers trichomes.

This strain produces a loud aroma quite similar to that of its Ghost OG parent, though it’s toned down a bit. You should expect to smell funky kush overtones accented by smooth earth and citrus. The flavor is quite similar to the aroma, which makes for an enticing and intoxicating smoke.

The effects of this strain are quite heavy in nature, due to this strain’s overwhelming indica-dominance and history. The high begins with an incredibly strong sensation of calming that will wash over not just your body but also your mind, calming any racing thoughts you might be having. Not soon after you’ll feel your body seduced by the warm tendrils of this strain’s potent relaxing effects. Dirt Nap is an aptly named strain because its heavy effects feel almost dirty in nature and they’re absolutely sure to put you to sleep. Even those who smoke exclusively indicas will notice that this strain’s potent effects lull them into a state of near-sedation unknowingly. This makes Dirt Nap an ideal strain for evening and night time use when you can’t quite calm down your mind or your body.
