About Bear Gorilla

Yieldmonger bred Bear Gorilla from a phenotype of Gorilla Glue, bred with Chocolate Diesel. Its THC levels soar, up to 30% in some cases which results in a strong, relaxing high often touted for various medicinal effects. The origins of the strain go back to the crops of two breeders named Lone Watie and Joesy Whales, whose Chem Sis and Sour Dubb plants accidentally cross-pollinated. When this happened, they realized that the result was rich with resin and pretty delicious. It was so sticky that they named it Gorilla Glue, which became the breeding stock of Bear Gorilla (Chem Sis x Sour Dubb x Chocolate Diesel).

If you grow Bear Gorilla, you can expect a plant as tall as 185cm if grown outside (up to 175cm inside). Your harvest will be around mid-October and the yield should be huge, with as much as 700g per meter squared. Bear Gorilla needs a warm climate to flourish and flowers in 8-10 weeks. The strain is shaped like a large, conical Christmas tree, with long, light-green leaves. The messy pistils are curly and bright orange and white. The trichomes are a blanket of small white drops of resin that cover the round, dense buds.

The Bear Gorilla strain has a tantalizing taste of earthy, evergreen flavors, like a big, pungent breath of the foresty outdoors. The aftertaste contains flavors of chocolate, herbs, and diesel. Its THC is very high, up to 30%. Like Gorilla Glue, its effects are haze-inducing, robbing the user of focus and consciousness. With such a high level of THC and a very real possibility of sedation, we recommend using Bear Gorilla later in the day. Arm yourself with a lot of experience with similar powerful strains before going all-in to its earthy, pungent influence. No matter how much you resist, Bear Gorilla probably has the power to maul the stress and focus right out of your busy brain.

The strain’s genetic origins stretch from indica-rich regions in Afghanistan to the sativa-heavy growing climates of Colombia and Brazil. The result is evenly balanced, pungent, and focus-destroying. We recommend using Bear Gorilla at the end of the day when you can handle having your mind rolled out by big powerful paws. The result is not only potent and earthy but a hardy crop as well. Due to legal difficulties with the glue brand, “Gorilla Glue” is not a commonly used name for the strains in this lineage. However, Bear Gorilla more than makes up for it with its flavors and THC.
