About Arise

Arise is a gentle experience. The nugs look like serene little Christmas trees, frosty, deep green, accented with dark amber hairs and cloaked in crystals. It offers a little boost and a little spirit-lifting joy, which may not be what you expect when you see how high its THC levels go – up to 30%. But Arise devotes its considerable resources to helping you work on pain and stress and giving you energy, rather than knocking you out. This isn’t a strain to get stoned. It’s a strain to get going.

Irie Genetics made Arise from a cross between Daybreaker and Golden Goat. The crops it produces are large and put out plentiful resin, making it a great strain for breeders that want to make concentrates or sell to those who do. It’s evenly balanced (50/50) between Indica and Sativa, though some variants lean slightly Sativa. The crop smells of sandalwood.

The effects of Arise hit deep. They start as a boost, helping you get moving in the morning or push through a rough afternoon. This is why Arise makes sense as a wake and bake strain for the early morning. It’ll not only give you energy but help you focus that energy to good use. Not only will you feel your spirits lifting, but you’ll also feel your pain wafting away in an onslaught of woody flavors and a sour tropical taste on the exhale.

Those who could use an “Arisen” life probably suffer from muscle cramps and spasms, chronic stress issues, arthritis, and PTSD. Take note that Arise is not great for those with anxiety issues, since it elevates and energizes you. Those who are super stressed and anxious probably need the opposite. They need to be put down, not “risen” up. But those with mood and anxiety problems can use a pick-me-up (arise-me-up?).

Verb tenses aside, the gentle, body-focused euphoria of the Arise high will help you keep a clear and focused mind. As you do, you’ll enjoy the woody flavors with hints of tropical fruit – nothing too dank or skunky to turn off novice users. Some even think Arise tastes a bit like classic Juicy Fruit chewing gum, which I don’t know about you, but that’s a pretty nostalgic flavor for most of us. The sweetness hides a soaring THC level, which devotes its energies not only to your energy but to relieving you from body pain. This is why Arise is a favorite among arthritis sufferers and those with chronic muscle spasms. But anyone can enjoy being Arisen, so long as they know what they’re in for.
