Apple Betty
About Apple Betty
History & Genetics
Apple Betty was born from a cross between three strains that have an aroma to die for; with the sativa-dominant Chem’s Sister and Chocolate Diesel as well as the indica-dominant Sour Apple. This delicious strain was created by Herbies Seeds. The result is a hybrid that's tilted toward the indica side, but the ratio is close enough to offer a balanced smoke. At 33% THC content, this strain is not for the faint of heart.
Appearance, Aroma, & Flavor
Apple Betty has a typical Indica structure – the plants are bushy and have a conical shape,
forming many side branches and long internodes. The buds are fluffy and small yet fairly
dense and covered by a coating of milky trichomes, giving them a sticky texture and
incredible bag appeal.
Adding to Apple Betty’s powerful delight is the divine terpene profile that provokes a sense of
nostalgia and excitement at the same time. This sweet smoke goes easy on the throat, with
the taste of fresh green apples, chocolate, caramel, and cinnamon noticeable on the exhale.
This good-for-the-soul wood-fired apple pie flavor is enough to warm even the coldest of
hearts.
Effects
The smoking experience is as delightful as it gets. Upon first puff, this weed gives a spark of
instant cerebral stimulation and hits you with waves of euphoria, which then give way to
more relaxing Indica properties that will find your center of gravity and make you crawl into
bed and call it a day.
The high also has a noteworthy psychedelic feel to it, with sights and sounds around
becoming slightly off. Taking one toke too many may result in out-of-body illusions and a
serious case of the munchies. Whatever dosage you choose, this strain is best reserved for
use late at night.

Growing
Not as quaint as you’d expect, Apple Betty is a medium-sized and robust, bushy plant yielding incredible harvests of up to 2,600g/plant (92oz/plant) outdoors. Indoors, she musters between 600-800g/m2 (2-2.6g/ft2), and every bud is sugar-frosted with buckets of sticky trichomes. All that in just 55-65 days – she really is impressive!
A tip to keep in mind while growing indoors is to use a carbon filter to filter out Apple Betty’s pungent aromas. For indoor setups, space your plants out well to allow better airflow between this strain's thick branches or mold might start to appear. You can use low stress training to optimize your plant's height.
