8 Miles High
About 8 Miles High
It’s said that “8 Miles High” was a song written about a particularly psychedelic strain of marijuana while on a flight to London, and it’s fitting that this little lady would get her name from such a tune. Bred by Mandala Seeds, 8 Miles High was made with two things in mind: easy to grow and easy to love. Certainly, with this cross of two landraces, an Africa Sativa and a North Indian Indica, they have hit the mark.
This lemon-lime strain boasts a whopping 16% to 23% THC level giving it an ultra-high average of 21%. This guarantees users a potent high with the potential for an hours-long experience waxing and waning through creativity, energy, and sharp as tacks focus. Enjoy those effects while savoring the deliciously sweet citrus and berry flavors that are punctuated by sharp strawberry and mint flavors. The aromas are similar with a bit more of that lemon and lime zest on the nose. The buds are almost greasy with resin and are brightly colored with rich orange hairs and a frosting of white trichomes.
8 Miles High offers an uplifting, instant buzz that starts in your head with an uptick in energy and a rush of euphoria. After just one hit you’ll feel that tingly sensation making its way to your limbs, eventually relaxing your body and invigorating your mind. This high brings the kind of happiness that gets you in an ultra-productive mood, so if you’re up for it, try to hone in that focus on something creative while the euphoric haze is still running through you. This strain is fine for first-time or novice users as its effects remain fairly level, however, use her sparingly at first as it might become overwhelming.
Medicinal users love 8 Miles High for its ability to soothe down aches and pain with the numbing properties it provides. Her uplifting bursts of energy and happiness offer relief from even the most trying symptoms of mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, chronic stress, or bipolar disorder. The stimulative properties of this strain also provide relief from appetite loss and occasional nausea.
This bud is a favorite amongst seasoned users and novice users alike for its absolute simplicity in the garden. It’s not just great tasting but it is also one of the most pleasant cultivation processes around, with just 8 weeks to flower and almost no adverse effects if grown indoors or out. She is recommended for all levels of experience and will likely produce heavily for the more advanced caretaker.
You can’t get much better than delicious flavors and awesome effects, and 8 Miles High seems to have both of those covered. Perfect for a wake and bake or great for an afternoon break, this bud will have you reaching maximum altitude no matter what time of day you take flight.
While the strain was designed to grow outside, those with the space to grow 8 Miles High indoors or in a greenhouse, will find they can do so problem-free. It needs between 60 and 65 days to finish creating a large harvest of up to 450 grams per square meter. Outside plants can yield up to 1,000 grams per plant. If growing the strain indoors, Mandala recommends using 400 to 600 watt high pressure sodium grow lamps. 8 Miles High can carry up to 23% THC.
