Safford is a small city of almost 10,000 inhabitants located in eastern Arizona, roughly 125 miles northeast of Tucson. Because of its fairly low population, Safford is home to many observatories and the Mount Graham International Observatory, which contains the largest binocular telescope in the world. In addition to the great views and low man-made lighting, Safford also features one medical marijuana dispensary.
