In a sale that was 40% off I ordered 17 eighths and a total of $790, leaving confident and happy with my order and initial visit with the bud tenders. I drove from detroit and It was not until I got back to my friend’s place did I realize that every eighth turned to dust with slight pressure between my fingertips. It was old, stale, and totally dry to the point where when I tried to grind one it turned to literal dust and went through my joint and bong bowl, harshly hitting and leaving a bad aftertaste. When I checked the dates the flowers are from EARLY 2020, some January, and when I called the store to discuss this, they seemed really friendly and told me they would replace the flowers and a $100 in store credit for the problem and so I drove back 45 minutes and when I went in they had changed shift and it was someone else who told me he couldn’t do anything so I asked to talk to his manager and/or boss because I was under the impression they would take care of me and had a plan but when the two co owners approached me it was a very different, even abusive, experience and situation (especially for a medical care provider). He began to gaslight me and tell me I didn’t know what I was talking about, that he did nothing, and began to berate and threaten my job while turning it around on me. How had things changed so much from my pleasant phone call? I was literally in tears having an anxiety attack because of the volatility of the situation which caused flair ups in my chronic medical conditions that I originally had trusted them to help treat. I was told that I was crazy and making a scene because the two extremely abrasive men brought me to an anxiety attack (which I also told them and they laughed at). Why would I drive an hour and a half and spend my entire pay check just to come back and experience this honestly traumatic and unexceptable experience? In the end they begrudgingly offered me a refund, which I appreciate, but the way that I was treated by management/owners was completely unacceptable. I did nothing wrong and was simply reaching back out less than an hour after my transaction to talk about the quality of the “top-shelf” flower I bought. I had thought from my phone call it would be no problem, and had no intention to create one. The budtenders here are fantastic, but the way customers are treated and problems are handled by management will have this place closing soon. That being said, I of course will not be returning here and will urge my peers to do the same. I will also be contacting the bbb as I feel so strongly uncomfortable that they have all my information from my medical card and id and believe this should be unacceptable in any type of medical field with people we trust to provide medical assistance and patient care.
