The Opportunity

Wikileaf is seeking a seasoned Python Developer to play a key role in the development of the front end and back-end of our website & mobile applications. You will work alongside a team of passionate developers and designers, creating innovative experiences that make an impact in our users’ well-being and wallets.

Responsibilities

  • Implement new product features and enhance and maintain the existing functionality of Wikileaf’s products and services

  • Assist in designing, planning and managing the data migration process
  • Help ensure high quality by participating in peer code review

Key Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in a start-up environment
  • Expert knowledge of Python and experience with the Django framework
  • A strong understanding of computer science principles (through education or equivalent work experience)

  • Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases
  • Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system
  • Familiarity with agile development tools and processes

Senior Designer

Wikileaf is looking for a seasoned user-experience designer to join our product team. As part of our small but growing team, you will work directly with the Creative Director, product managers, and software development team to help define and execute Wikileaf’s product strategy.

You’ll develop and deliver high quality design work, helping to elevate the user-experience, usability, accessibility, and brand of our products.

You’ll create sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes, using whatever tools you feel will best allow you to communicate, execute, and iterate on your ideas.

You’ll explore and learn about our users, our stakeholders, and our industry, to foster a deep understanding of our business and our goals.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including collaborating with product managers, engineers, marketing, social, and more

Responsibilities

  • Create the product roadmap, and lead cross-functional teams through the development process
  • Acquire in depth knowledge of the North American cannabis industry and remain informed on new developments and trends
  • Collect, organise, and analyze customer feedback, while maintaining a log of user recommendations and complaints
  • Attain a deep understanding of competitors offerings, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and develop a winning strategy against the competition
