What began as a small group of friends trying their hand at growing a few plants is now one of Washington State’s leading names in innovation in the cannabis industry. Their intention as a team went from “Let’s see where this can go” to one simple word with a much bigger meaning… “growth.” By setting this seemingly easy goal, Canna Organix created a culture of excellence, caring, and self-cultivation around their operations and their way of life.
The founders have a long history in the cannabis world, with co-owner Tim having been one of the first ever caregivers under Washington’s medical marijuana initiative in 2000. By working under the medical laws almost two decades ago, the crew was provided with great opportunities and a wider base of knowledge to work from. However, seeing the gaps in consistency and care led Tim, Wendy, and Steve to head south to Mendocino and begin again with a different array of knowledge at their fingertips. After years of gardening barefoot and experimenting on a larger scale, the team returned to their homeland following the vote to legalize marijuana across the state.
Upon their return to Washington in 2013, Canna Organix was born and so was the idea that if they chose their location wisely, they can grow in ideal conditions without the use of pesticides or harmful chemicals. This plan of action would ensure their success as organic farmers and brought a breath of fresh air to the community. Using their state of the art “sun grown indoor” technology, Canna Organix are able to leverage the best of the weather in Sequim (a region in the heart of the “Olympic Rain Shadow”) and grow year round with the help of cooler summers and hotter winters. Their products are a testament to how well their plan has unfolded with fan favorite strains ranging from Gelato and Sherbert to The Glue and Presidential OG.
